Claire Elise Boucher (bu:'SeI/booSHAY) was born on the 17th of March, 1988. She is known as Grimes. 2] 3] The variety of her music from the beginning has been called "lo the fi R&B" as well as "futuristic dance-pop". She has also included elements of hip-hop, electronic and rock. The majority of her songs touch upon science fiction themes and feminist topics. Five studio albums have been issued by her. Grimes was born and raised in Vancouver, and then moved to Montreal in 2000. Grimes started releasing her songs as a solo artist at the beginning of 2000. There were 2 albums that were issued by Arbutus Records in 2010, Geidi Primes as well as Halfaxa during 2010. In 2012, Visions was her third studio album. Grimes signed with 4AD. Visions comprises the singles "Genesis" and "Oblivion" as well as the Canadian music industry's Juno Award for Electronic Album of the year.
